Counselling

People seek counselling for many reasons including, depression, trauma, anxiety, phobias, stress, grief, addictions, anger, self-esteem, assertiveness, self-defeating behaviours, life transitions, personal and spiritual growth, couples counselling, conflict in relationships, communication and intimacy challenges, children’s behavioural issues and challenges of youth and young adult transitions.

Luke & Yoda While working with individuals, I attempt to draw out a clients secure sense of self. This is achieved by helping a client “get back” into the present space of their body.I work to help clients realize that they have the power within them to change their own beliefs. Given this understanding, it holds true that clients can create a different set of beliefs that ultimately serve them better.

With couples and family therapy, I bring to our sessions a focus on building connections. This is done while keeping client(s) connected with their secure sense of self while we explore what you want from the relationship.

Youth and young adults require a counsellor who can relate to their experiences while cautiously and slowly developing the necessary rapport needed to help them face their challenges. I have 15 years experience working with this population with much success.
